Me and Lizzie have created a storyboard involving our main ideas for the video, for example group shots, individual shots and shots presented in different locations with different props. This drawing shows a group shot, when we film we are going to shoot lots of dance routines all together in every location, therefore when it comes to editing we will be able to cut, crop etc the shots to different parts of the video. In addition the group shots will be at different angles with different camera movements for example high angle, low angel, back shots, pans, tracks and lots more.

This will be taken in the 44two club, this is because there is a bar there which we will be able to use. This scene links to the narrative of our song and group because they are young and therefore like to have fun i.e. at bars/ clubs (one of our locations) and also due to the lyrics in the scene 'swipe my card' representing money.
In some shots we want group shots to be presented however one or two people miming at the same time, this shows the artists as a group but also as individuals.
We are going to film shots like these in every location and then edit them to different parts of our music video. Furthermore these dance routines will also be presented at different angles/ with different camera movements.

We are going to have numerous money shots for example the group may throw the money in the air for the final shot of our video, we also want one of the group to fan themselves with money, this represents a narrative for our video. I feel like these money shots are going to work well in the video because it makes it more obvious to our audience what the song is actually about.
The use of the confident signs syncing with the music was an idea we had from Fifth Harmony's video (our main inspiration). I think this will look really effective and different to other videos.
We will be using lots of different shots with props such as balloons and neon items, in these shots the group will be dancing and miming. In addition individual shots will be used in balloon scenes. I think that these balloons will look really effective in the video due to the different colours and the amount of balloons that will be in the shot.
For sparkler scenes we are going to film at night, this is so that it will look effective, these shots will include close-ups, group shots, mid shots and different types of angles.
Me and Lizzie are planning to present many individual shots of different people miming, this will be taken in every location to ensure we have as many different shots as possible for our video. They will also be taken at angles such as high angles, low angles, long shots, close ups and with different camera movements e.g. tracking and panning.
The clicking of the fingers will be used when a clicking sound is presented i.e. it will be synced with the music, we are going to mainly use this shot at the beginning of the video e.g. when no words are heard.
Shots using glitter will be used throughout the video i.e blowing glitter. I think that the use of this prop will indicate the groups personality for example they are fun and pop and therefore glitter represents colours etc.
I also came up with the idea to buy confetti, this is too add a fun feel to our music video, we will throw confetti over the group in some dance and miming scenes, this will make some shots look more colourful and exciting instead of them just miming and dancing. Other artists such as Marina And The Diamonds have used shots like these, I also really liked how these shots looked and therefore would really like to include this in some scenes.
Finally we would like to present a group shot, however of our groups shoes/ feet walking. This shows the costume of our characters and shows off their individual styles. In addition their shoes will be bright and colourful and therefore represent the 'fun' in the video, this also matches our target audience.
Can you add:
ReplyDelete- some evaluation of your shots - why you think they will work? Or not?
- some different angles to your shots
- change the opening to recognise that you have done a whole storyboard.
Mrs H
I have annotated my storyboard, including different angles and shots, I have also changed the introduction of this post.
