Me and Lizzie already have some ideas of who should contribute/ be main characters in our music video. We have been searching for 5 main characters for a girl group. We wanted our characters to have a similar representation/ image as our inspiration e.g. Fifth Harmony, after researching into the individual characters in Fifth Harmony we now know the type of people we are hoping to be in our video this is so that it will suit our target audience. Therefore me and Lizzie used examples of our friends and people we have connections with. Here are the test shots to possible characters for our music video/ group.

Age: 15 years old
Hobbies/ Talents: Dancing e.g. the splits, choreography and flexible!
Lives locally and is reliable.
Jemma
Age: 14 years old
Hobbies/ talents: good at dancing i.e. the splits, the needle, flexible, does musical theatre training, can mime and can choreograph.
Lives locally and is reliable.
Hannah
Age: 17 years old
Hobbies/ talents: singer, musical theatre, can choreograph, attends Miskin Performing Arts College, works well in a group of dancers but also solo.
Lives locally and is reliable.
Alexis
Age: 13 years old
Hobbies/ talents: musical theatre, can choreograph, singer, dancer, has been as stand in performer for the musical Annie (in west end) and works well in a group of dancers.
Lives locally and is reliable.
Phoebe
Age: 17 years old
Hobbies/ talents: musical theatre, dancing, miming, entertaining, can choreograph and is photogenic.
Phoebe lives in our local area and is easy to get in contact with if we ever needed extra shots for the video.
Karyna
Age: 17 years old
Hobbies/ talents; dancing, choreography, works well in a group but also individually and is entertaining/ good in front of a camera.
Karyna lives close to where we are planning to shoot our video and is reliable/ easy to get hold of.
Charlotte
Age: 17 years old
Hobbies/ talents; miming, dancing, entertaining, musical theatre, flexible, can do the splits, entertaining and is good at working with a group of people/ dancers.
Charlotte lives in our local area and is prepared to help us with our coursework/ video.
April
Age: 15 years old
Hobbies/ talents: April is a good dancer, she can entertain and choreograph, she is able to mime and look professional for different scenes.
Brittany
Age: 17 years old
Hobbies/ talents; is able to mime, dance and look professional in front of the camera.
Brittany lives locally and is easy to get hold of if needed.
Lia
Age: 17 years old
Hobbies/ talents: dancer (A-level dancer), actress, looks professional, entertaining and she is able to mime.
Lia lives locally and is reliable/ easy to get in contact with.
Ella
Age: 17 years old
Hobbies/ talents: dancer, can mime, and is able to look professional.
Ella does not live locally and therefore it would be hard to get in contact with her for the shooting of the video however we still included her as a possibility for our music group.
Chloe
Age: 15 years old
Hobbies/ talents: Dancing, musical theatre and miming
Chloe lives close and is reliable for our video, we have good contact with her and she would be a really good character for our music video.
Jodie Wilson
Age: 15 years old
Hobbies/ talents: Dancing, choreography, miming.
Jodie also lives close, and is willing to participate a lot to our video.
Raya Absolon
Age: 15 years old
Hobbies/ talents: choreography, can mime, dancing and likes musical theatre.
Raya lives locally and is able to participate on our video, she is willing to contribute a lot of her time and enjoys dancing therefore she is likely to be in our video.

Me and Lizzie have discussed holding 'auditions' or a group meet up to decide on our main group. Other additional character members are able to be backing dancers/ help with other aspects of our video, the fact that we have many people willing to take part and help is really helpful for me and Lizzie, this is because we will always have somebody available to film or even stand in if another person is unable to do something for our video.

There's a really nice selection of shots here which demonstrate reflection of the process and good, methodical research.
ReplyDeleteYou could improve the way you present your organisational skills though. Could you annotate this to show which person you are linking to which character? Or could you do an additional post dividing the test shots up for each character? This would give us a better sense of your thinking and how you have gone through the research and planning process.
