Initial Ideas

Me and Lizzie have already thought of different ideas that we might want to include in our music video, therefore to help us with our research and planning I have decided to make an initial ideas post. After looking into real music videos by our inspired artists such as Marina and The Diamonds, Ke$ha, Little Mix and Katy Perry we have decided on a theme and I have created a mood board for some of our ideas.

We would like our video to be bright and fun to watch, for example the bright colours will make the video eye catching and stand out. We would like to shoot our video at different places/ scenes and therefore by thinking of different props and mise on scene for these different scenes has helped us with our research and planning.  

Additionally me and Lizzie wanted our video to include things such as:

• Bright backgrounds 
• Bright/ bold costumes 
• Different lighting effects 
• Balloons  
• An American/ USA theme to represent the dollar signs and narrative of the song (e.g. some aspects of Marina and The Diamonds Hollywood video I really liked and enjoyed to watch. Also it links in well with the narrative of our chosen song).

To begin with I have began to create word/ signs similar to the 'confident' letters in Fifth Harmony's video BO$$. Me and Lizzie thought it would be a good idea to print out images of Dollar's/ money, this is so that in the video our artists can throw the money in the air to represent the narrative of the song e.g. the songs narrative discusses women working for their own money and the title of the song includes dollar signs in its name 'BO$$'.
